Targeting multiple root causes

Hair loss is attributable to a broad spectrum of genetic, medical, and environmental factors. Over time, the diameter and strength of hair follicles can degrade, causing visible thinning and balding. Although treatments such as hair transplantations or medications such as Finasteride are marketed as supposed cures, these options are associated with undesirable side effects such as erectile dysfunction or infection. Likewise, supplements and prescriptions generally fail to adequately combat the root causes of hair loss. Slowing or even stopping hair loss requires a multi-targeted approach that addresses multiple contributing factors. We developed our Follione® product line through meticulous scientific research and clinical testing. In turn, we created each product with clinically-proven ingredients to alleviate early to advanced stages of male and female hair loss. In turn, our proprietary formula lends way to healthier and visibly fuller hair.

Cruelty-Free Ingredients. Trusted Processes.

At Follione®, our formulas are vetted on the European Union (EU) level in
accordance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards. Since 2003, cancer-causing chemicals and substances that yield birth defects have been banned from cosmetic products in the EU. Our products uphold these standards, ensuring uncompromising safety for our patrons.
Our R&D efforts at Follione® hinge on the belief that our process is as
important as our products. In turn, we do not use animal testing as a means of verifying product effectiveness. Cosmetic products with a history of animal testing have been banned for sale in the EU since 2013, while the use of animal testing for cosmetics has been banned since 2009 thereby setting new precedents for countries worldwide.

essential hair components

Despite common misconceptions, follicles are just one of the many components that comprise hair. Each strand includes a papilla, bulb, matrix, and shaft. Beginning from the root upward, the embedded onion-shaped base is the bulb which contains the dermal papilla, a cavity that contains a microscopic web of capillaries. These capillaries provide hair with oxygen and key nutrients. From there, the follicle serves as an anchor, extending beneath the skin. The visible hair shaft results from the matrix, a layer of active cells that move outward resulting in growth. By understanding the role that each hair component serves, our team at Follione® develops products that take a comprehensive approach to remediate hair loss.
Anagen Phase (Growth)
Commonly referred to as the growth stage, the anagen phase of the hair growth cycle is when hair is actively growing. At any given time,  approximately 80% of hair is in the anagen phase, yielding upwards of 1.5cm of growth each month. Although most hairs will grow for 2 to 6 years,  some women  can experience upwards of 8 years of growth. Growth phases for some men, however, can be as short as 2 years.
Catagen Phase (Transitional)
During the catagen phase of the hair growth cycle, hair begins to shed. Beneath the surface, the hair separates from the papilla thereby detaching from the blood-supplying capillaries. Without oxygen and nutrients, the follicle collapses and shrinks. Overall, the catagen phase ranges anywhere from 2 to 3 weeks.
Telogen Phase (Resting)
Before reentering the anagen phase of the hair growth cycle, hair follicles undergo the telogen phase, a dormant period that can last upwards of 3 months. After shedding the existing hair strand, the follicle prepares for regrowth. At any given time, up to 15% of hairs may be in the telogen phase,  contributing to the over 100 follicles humans shed  each day.

prioritizing scalp health

Without proper care, your scalp can negatively affect the strength and health of your hair follicles. While some scalp conditions may yield temporary thinning, conditions that are left untreated can eventually result in permanent hair loss. Dryness, flakiness, and irritation should be promptly addressed to avoid further damage. Regardless of your scalp hair plan, the aging process will reduce your skin’s elasticity and capillary count. In turn, hair loss and fading follow suit.

HOW HAIR LOSS TREATMENT CAN HELP

Despite misconceptions, hair loss treatment is not an instantaneous process. With consistent treatment over a period of 6 to 12 months, however, you may successfully slow your hair loss while achieving noticeable improvements in thickness.
Our best recommendation at Follione® is to trust the process, manage your expectations, and fit hair care into your daily routine.

Of note, your results will depend on a myriad of controllable and uncontrollable factors including genetics, stress levels, environmental forces, treatment follow-through, and more. By starting before advanced hair loss occurs, you can maximize your hair retention and fullness.
1-2 MONTHS

Although you will not see immediate results, your consistency will lend way to positive changes on a molecular level.

3-5 MONTHS

After a few months, you will reach a hair loss stabilization threshold where the foundation has been set for visible improvements in hair strength and fullness to occur.

6-12 MONTHS

By the time you have reached one full year of treatment, you may begin to notice thicker, healthier hair. By now, your scalp will have undergone a full hairgrowth cycle.

As someone experiencing hair loss, you may find yourself drawn to products or procedures that offer rapid, permanent results with little to no effort. Unfortunately, these approaches lack credibility. By regularly using Follione® products, you can implement the right treatment plan for your specific type of hair loss to potentially mitigate further hair loss while increasing thickness.
THE FOLLIONE ADVANTAGE
With AI-based recommendations and clinically-proven formulas, Follione® products offer a trusted pathway to alleviate hair loss. Whether used alone or in conjugation with other treatments such as hair transplantation, our products aim to stop further thinning and potentially facilitate follicle regrowth.

WHY SCALP ELASTICITY MATTERS

Over time, skin loses volume and vitality. While younger skin can stretch out and quickly bounce back, the aging process takes a gradual toll on our epidermal cells. In turn, skin elasticity eventually degrades. The same is true for scalp skin. As a result, hair follicles receive less blood flow, meaning reduced oxygen and nutrients. Additionally, the scalp becomes less resistant to damage. While these degradations occur naturally over time, proactively using hydrating and nourishing Follione® products can improve scalp elasticity to help offset the effects of aging.
